The Bow River Gas Co-op Ltd. is a proud member of Utility Safety Partners. We offer free gas line locates, but only after a Utility Safety Partners Ticket has been issued. To start this process, you have two options:
- Visit the Utility Safety Partners website at https://utilitysafety.ca/
- Call the Utility Safety Partners toll-free number: 1-800-242-3447.
Please remember: We cannot perform line locates without prior communication with Utility Safety Partners.
Important Guidelines for Landowners and Contractors:
- One-Call Notification: It’s essential to complete a one-call notification before any digging or ground disturbance. This process helps avoid damages to underground utilities. Please notify Utility Safety Partners at least 2 full working days in advance.
- Responsibility for Damages: If you fail to complete a one-call notification, you (the landowner or contractor) will be responsible for any damage to underground utilities. This includes the costs for repairs, gas loss, and any other related expenses.
Why This Matters: This free service is a vital part of our commitment to the community and the protection of Alberta’s underground infrastructure. By ensuring proper notification and locates, we can prevent unnecessary damage and maintain safety for everyone involved.
