Carbon Levy Removal – Effective April 1, 2025

This charge will be removed!

On March 15, 2025, the Government of Canada announced it will be removing the Federal Fuel Charge.

Your Natural Gas Utility — Bow River Gas Co-op — will no longer be required to report on or pay this charge for any type of fuel, including marketable natural gas, consumed after March 31, 2025.

Bow River Gas Co-op is sharing this important update with our customers:
Starting April 1, 2025, the Federal Fuel Charge will no longer appear on your gas bill.

This federally mandated change applies to all natural gas utilities across Canada.
